My name is Aaron Gardiner and I am a technical and skilled Central Midfielder currently residing in Reading, England. I am highly motivated, driven, coachable, respectful, a quick thinker and give 110% at all times both on and off the field. I am dedicated to my profession and always looking to develop and grow whilst I strive for my ultimate goal, to play professionally. I am disciplined professional and though I thrive in my position as CM, I am always open to play where I am needed and give it my all. I am a team player who builds good solid relationships with both my coaches and teammates. I am proactive, as I continue to work on my own development, both as a person and player, as well as my fitness levels outside of my sporting field.
I was scouted by Hartley Wintney during the Summer of July 2021 whilst attending trials. Before playing semi-pro, I was, at the age of 16, playing U20’s with Gala Fairydean Rovers. Their coach, Graham Buckley was keen to get me on board with his team when I was trialling for the U17’s. Impressed by my technical and tactical game awareness, Graham wanted to take me under his wing and help develop me further. Having had success with many players he coached at Edinburgh City.
I have spent the last 5 years playing and training grassroots football and receiving private training from Kevin Thomson (former Rangers, Dundee, Hibs and Middlesborough Player, who also played for Scotland and is now the Manager of League 2 Team, Kelty Hearts). I continue to undertake private training with Kevin during my own time when back in Scotland for vacations. I was one of the first players to join Kevin’s academy. It has been through his knowledge and guidance that I truly began to thrive.
