“We are delighted to have Keith Hackett, a former referee, as the Ambassador to Footballers Global.

Footballers Global is very fortunate to have one of the most respected referees in the world, Keith Hackett, as our referee ambassador. We are extremely grateful to Keith Hackett and aim to find new ways to promote refereeing while raising funds to invest in the grassroots level of the game.

The respect for referees is sometimes shocking, especially in kids’ football. Therefore, we believe that getting everyone involved and sharing referees’ stories with the younger generation may help educate players about the importance of their role in the game. We hope this will encourage players to support the referees when their managers, parents, and fans start to abuse them. At the end of the day, no referee, no game.

Footballers Global is always looking for ways to help and support grassroots football. Our latest feature is designed to address the problem teams sometimes face when trying to find a referee. We now have a ‘Find a Ref’ section that all teams can use.

We support referees and want to encourage more young people to get involved in refereeing. Qualified referees can now register themselves, create their CV, and share their football journey. We aim to showcase every level of the referee, and you will be added to the search engine, helping prevent game cancellations due to a lack of referees.

It’s simple for everyone to take advantage of this feature. It only takes a few minutes to register, and all levels of members can access the ‘Find a Ref’ feature. Referees, fill out your CV and add a picture of your qualifications. If you need a ref, just enter your postcode, and our system will show you the referees in your area. You can then check their CVs and get in touch.

Let’s not forget, at the end of the day, no ref, no game.”
