Ben is very positive in all aspects of training and game situations demonstrating a good work ethic, effort, application and willingness to learn. He possesses a winning attitude and is highly motivated to compete whilst maintaining an even temper, level headedness and composure after setbacks. Having joined the Bournemouth Academy at the age of eight, he has shown a consistent level of responsibility and commitment to his ongoing training and development, giving 100% and striving to be the best that he can possibly be. These are all attributes and signs of a good leader, which have served him well and are beneficial characteristics for a player to possess. He continues to display a good attitude to listening and applies himself well to advice given at training / matches. He is a conscientious and diligent young man who is keen to develop his game and understand how he can improve.
Ben is a quick, mobile forward that is also strong and robust in his play, demonstrating the ability to not only exploit space in behind via his pace and directness, but is also competent to drop short, linking with midfielders or facing up opposition defenders 1v1. His work rate when out of possession and ability to press and dictate play is a real asset to his game. Not only is Ben a natural finisher in front of goal, he is also starting to demonstrate great aerial ability from both set pieces and open play. With further refinement of his areas for development and greater belief and confidence in his own ability, Ben would certainly contribute positively to another Academy/Professional environment.
