Absolutely heartbreaking to read the news of Jeremy Wisten, a former Man City Academy player who took his own life following his release from the club.
There is absolutely NO aftercare support when a player is released and this needs to change. The FA and Acadamies have a duty of care to all players wellbeing and even more so following being…[Read more]

Felt bad today as made the decision not to play today. Hate letting the boys down but with 4 games in 11 days for Southend Manor and a hard game yesterday I need to rest for another big game at home to Takeley Tuesday night.

Well that was a hard fought draw with table toppers Hashtag United finishing 1-1. Pleased to get another 80 minutes but out on the right side. The system doesn’t suit my style of play but will keep doing what I’m asked. On to Tuesday night where we are at home to Takeley.

Training tonight in preparation for Saturdays big game against title favourites Hashtag United.

Wow, what a crazy game that was last night and have to say the ref had a shocker, but it went very much in our favour.
I came on after 25 minutes, which was a tactical move by the management and deployed me on the right side which isn’t my position, but always happy to do what’s needed for the team.

And thankyou for sharing your story… hopefully this can turn into a trend on fg, as im sure there are other people who need to speak out.This is one of the big reasons why fg was started… No Support when released by a club.
