A question for all players, Do you feel like you need to do something special during a game or training to stand out? Let me see your answers as it is good to see what your mindset is when taking to the field.

The question would be then Aaron do you try and do every midfielders job as you feel that is your responsibility or do you try and inspire others with your leadership to maintain the levels you set? Working hard is the first mantra for any player but what good is a player that covers 12km a game but has no impact?

For me that’s what I do off the field. Connect with my team mates as much as possible. Then on the field we understand each other without a word. I know leadership quality might include shouting and pushing teammates at times but what happens in the field is the reflection of what happened off the field. Whilst players are still in some form of lockdown try different types of exercise that you may not normally do. Yoga and Pilates for muscle control and strength and Plyometrics for explosive power.

Welcome to the STEPP page where in the days and weeks to come we will be posting some fantastic opportunities for players to come and join us in Spain and sample the life of a full time academy. We will be looking for players who are currently year 11,12 and 13 for our education program but if you just want the chance to come and play full time…[Read more]

I am midfielder. I lose control of the game my team will go under pressure. So I keep telling my self this is my midfield. No matter what.
